This is a very family oriented campground. This was our first visit and will be back very soon. The Farmer's work very hard in making every guest feel like a part of their family. We were there for Kid's Weekend, which had lot of activities planned during the day. On Saturday night we had the pleasure of listening to Kerry & Terry Farmer's mini concert. The concert was worth the trip there in itself. Thank you to the Farmer's for a great weekend.

Our first trip to Lakewood was a very pleasant experience. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The park is dated and could use some improvements. The bath houses are not air conditioned, the trash pick up was not regular, and no shower/spigots at the beach entrances, the grass needed mowing in some areas. The interior roads were wide enough for 2 vehicles to pass. We rode our bikes daily and did not witness the roving hordes of reckless teens on golf carts. Actually I found the golf cart traffic at a minimum, unlike some of the other posters. The pool was very nice and had 2 lifeguards on duty. This was a comfortable place to stay and we would stay there again.

This is a very nice park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites are small and not very level. We had to raise the front tires about 6 inches in an attempt to level our RV. The pools (2) were nice and well maintained. The water slide appeared to get lots of use. This is a very kid friendly park. If you like the sights and sounds of children playing and having fun, this is your park.

Our favorite campground! We were invited to stay here by friends in 1996, and we have been back every year since. Sometime 2 or more times a year. We have recommended this park to our friends, who now stay there. Very comfortable place to stay. We were there for Spring Harley Week, which made this a very busy place.

This campground is one of the best kept secrets around. Would I spend my entire vacation there? Well, no. But for an overnight stop, or a couple of days it would be great. Quiet, clean, and cheap. We usually stay there a couple times a year when heading to Myrtle Beach. We have always found the park well maintained, clean bathhouses, and good food within a short walk from your site. No credit card required for reservations is a plus.

We stay here usually twice a year. This is a very family oriented place. And the sounds of children playing all day is refreshing. The costs for the Cable TV is expensive. But otherwise we always enjoy our stay. We usually stay here in March & October yearly.
